Project Description

The project was a new 10,900 SF building design to serve as a technical training center for trenching and installation of new gas lines and gas meters.  Half of the building footprint was to remain unexcavated while the remaining half is the buildout of the training program with a 2nd floor area for storage and mechanical equipment.  The design of the vehicular storage entrance to the unexcavated area shall accommodate for heavy equipment and heavy vehicular loads.  Attention to mitigate exhaust from entering the office area was a concern and achieved.

Project Description

The design of the new training center is to be constructed using brick with cold-formed metal framing backup wall system with the intent to match the appearance of the adjacent training building to the northwest. HOH provided full architectural and engineering design services which consist of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing of the technical training program through schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting and construction administration services.
