Juvenile Detention Center Building Upgrades
Project Description
The Project scope consists of upgrading an originally constructed Chicago Fire Department building which is currently used by the Chicago Police Department as a 24-hour holding facility. The facility is managed by the City of Chicago Department of Assets, Information & Services (βAISβ) on the near west side of Chicago, located at 3900 block of south California in the Brighton Park community. The facility is a three-story brick masonry building with one entrance facing S. California, one employee entrance on the south parking lot side of the building, and two overhead doors located on W Pershing Rd.
Scope of Work
The Project scope anticipates new roofing and exterior masonry repair, new exterior and overhead doors, new toilet upgrades, interior finishes, plumbing upgrades, HVAC mechanical rooftop equipment and controls upgrades, electrical lighting upgrade to LED, and new roof hatch and ships ladder.
